Thank you Father for this day,
the tears shed
At Day Centre for the first time,
prayers in the oratory,
good bloods,
vein that carried the treatment,
welcoming consultant,
nurse who looked after me,
inventors of these infusions,
other women in the bay,
kindnesses too numerous to recall,
brother-in-law who visited,
sister who drove me home,
loving husband.
The battle has begun;
your armies are within.
